Invitation to consultation events on development pathways of the Transition Plans

You are hereby invited to planned events for consultation on future Transition Plans

We are informing the public and stakeholders from civil, public, private, and non-governmental sectors about the planned consultation events regarding the development pathways of the Transition Plans within the BiH SuTra Programme for four pilot units of local self-governments: municipalities of Breza and Banovići, the City of Živinice, and the Municipality of Ugljevik.

Our engaged experts have prepared drafts of objectives and aspirations for the year 2050 for each sub-area/measure within the development pathways:

  1. Decarbonization (energy, climate, and sustainable transport),
  2. Circular economy,
  3. Pollution reduction,
  4. Sustainable agriculture,
  5. Nature and biodiversity protection

These drafts represent a substantiated basis for setting and elaborating measures for the long-term (by 2050), medium-term (by 2035), and short-term (3-years) period.

The events will take place in early April 2024, and details are provided below:

Please confirm your attendance by replying to the email info@bihsutra.ba no later than 2 days before the event. Kindly plan your presence at the presentations and discussions related to the working group – the development pathways of interest, and equally, you may follow the entire event if you are able to.

We believe this event is crucial for ensuring comprehensive and inclusive perspectives in the decision-making process, contributing to more efficient and sustainable development, and we sincerely look forward to your active participation.

The expected first draft of measures and the next meeting are planned for May 2024.
