Visioning event in Gacko

The BiH SuTra project is expanding its network of partners, and the Municipality of Gacko is officially joining the initiative! This marks an important step toward a greener, fairer, and climate-neutral future for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of this journey, Gacko will host a Visioning Workshop – an interactive, solution-oriented session designed to create a shared long-term vision for climate neutrality by 2050.

Why this workshop matters

The workshop will bring together local government representatives, citizens, businesses, academia, and civil society to answer the question:

Where do we want to be, and how do we want to live in 2050?

Participants will collaborate to generate locally owned ideas and solutions, ensuring that the transition toward climate neutrality is environmentally responsible, socially fair, and economically resilient.

The workshop is open and transparent, with outcomes and materials shared through the Municipality of Gacko’s official channels. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping Gacko’s sustainable future.

The vision is a first step to reach this goal. It will be the foundation for Gacko community to develop measures and actions that will be included in a transition plan, to be finalized in September 2026.
